Aggregate Demand and Expenditure

چکیده
Consumption Expenditure Of the four components of aggregate demand, consumption expenditure C is the largest contributing to between 60% and 70% of total expenditure. For this reason, we often start our analysis with this particular component. This category of expenditure includes private spending on durable goods (automobiles, electronic goods, appliances, ... ), non-durable goods (food, clothing, books and magazines,...), and services (housing, health-care, education, entertainment,...).

Macroelasticity vs. Individual Elasiticities: The Case of Consumption and Income
In this paper we assess the relationship between the aggregate income elasticity of aggregate demand and individual income elasticities of demand. We show that the aggregate elasticity is equal to the mean of individual elasticities plus a covariance term. Consequently, the sign of this covariance term determines whether the aggregate elasticity overestimates or underestimates the mean of indiv...
متن کاملDemand-led growth with debt constraints: a Harrodian perspective
The paper explores the implications of different autonomous demands, with differing rates of growth, in a demand-led growth model where policy makers are concerned about the ratios of public sector debt to income and external debt to income. The actual growth rate is explained in terms of the growth rate of aggregate demand, with emphasis in the formation of expectations about growth in the lat...
متن کاملAdaptive aggregate production planning with fuzzy goal programming approach
Aggregate production planning (APP) determines the optimal production plan for the medium term planning horizon. The purpose of the APP is effective utilization of existing capacities through facing the fluctuations in demand. Recently, fuzzy approaches have been applied for APP focusing on vague nature of cost parameters. Considering the importance of coping with customer demand in different p...

Development of technology has made possible the invention of innovative and modern methods to solve partially the problems caused by traffic congestion, through decreasing the need for physical transportation; one such method being telecommuting. Few predictions have been reported regarding its aggregate demand at the level of a city, generally because of the complexity and multi-dimensionality...
